Are all brutalist-styled buildings considered ugly?

it depends by whom. Common people generally don't like it because it's grey.

is not that bad actually, it suits Macau. and withing Asian standars, i would dare to say it's kinda luxurious looking

then, for me, there are buildings that have completly ruined a skyline view, like the Riparian Plaza in Brisbane

Never mind the clows.

Half if not more of the buildings suggested in this thread aren't remotely ugly.

Don't say that in the Ozscrapers forum.

For me it would be Guys Hospital in London:

Grand Lisboa Hotel is the textbook error of an architect when he/she mistakes architecture for sculpture , that is focusing too much on the object while forgetting the context.

personally i think Riparian, being a dominant tower in the skyline, should have had a more determinant role as a building for the skyline, it abruptly blends three unrelated designs throughout the tower and finishes with a very uninspiring top floor and above that a spire with, yet, another feature design in it.

and i personally find Brisbane's skyline to lack personality, character and theme.

on the other hand, there'll be an awesome new tower next to riparian and is currently u/c

And I myself thought the architect of that tower was a female.

I love NY but this is definitely one of the ugliest buildings, and it looks much worse on the other side of the river.
