I have to agree with that one. It's mostly the strip that connects the three buildings that just looks unattractive to me.

I don't have a picture with a closer view, but I really hate the government buildings in Gatineau, Quebec.

University Hall at UIC in Chicago

I was just there last month and there are MANY chunks of concrete visibly missing from the structure and there is a covered walkway around the building, presumably to protect people from falling concrete. yikes

Like the Burj Khalifa, this complex is fictitiously huge.

The Shard 19.03.2011 by yorkshire stacked, on Flickr

Guy's Hospital (right) in London is the tallest hospital building in the world. And i personally think it is also the ugliest building on the planet

Brutalism is interesting, you don't see buildings like that all over Europe, they are unique. New Zeland house looks perfectly normal, just a bit dirty but they could build someting like that today, it's rather modern design.

Wait so if 80 meters is what makes a building a skyscraper, what would these buildings be?

They are not mid rise buildings, they are skyscrapers..Its hard to tell that to someone that is not from Europe...
