Out of curiousity, wouldn't it be easier to figure out the (rough) height of this tower compared to the BK? Once 10-20 floors are built, surely one can just follow the window frames' angles (or where the floor slabs end) to a point? The way the tops taper though may still lead to a rough guess though.

It's very beautiful and very strange project and very arabian one. Maybe the observation desk in +(700 - 1000)m is ok. But the life and the job in this height will not comfortable. The prise and the net cost of 1m2 will be dreadful. The huge spire between small bildings will not looks ok. But some people will think about themself that they are very vip-s)

Yeah pretty rough, you never know how designs may pan out.

Hi Real.

Level heights vary greatly from project to project but more importantly from hotel to residential to office zones..

True, a very rough estimate could be made once we know :
1 - How many total levels there will be.
2 - Where the different zones are located.
3 - Some idea of the spire and/or pinnacle height.

I'm sure some drawings will surface at some point - hopefully with numbers.

Ray.

That's tall, a kilometer tower. I just hope this won't be like BK, with so many vacant units.

You can be sure it will have many vacant units, everybody knows that it won´t, Jeddah is just starting to be a global city, just keep waiting.

Something tells me it will do well. Saudi Arabia is a well populated place with more private money to go around than Dubai. There may not be lots of residential demand, but I just have this feeling.

I really loved the design at first, then it started to look not so good. I think I could do without the oberservation deck and also the design into the facade, where it curves in and out, I hate that. I think it would be better with another facade design, one more apealing to Jeddah. Right now the building just shouts out "we are only building this building because we can and the design doesnt matter" but it should symbolize something more. So to put it straight, the facade makes me sick, change that up to something more appealing. I love the shape of the building, if it was just all straight edges instead of the swirvy crap I think it would symbolize Jeddah beautifully.

Until they actually start construction it is still really only a proposed structure...
