Yeah, but ESB was build during the great depression when people were desperate to work even for a slice of bread.

BUT, ESB was also built before we had modern construction technology such as concrete pumps and tower cranes. We also didn't have modern materials. Face it, the construction industry is definitely going backwards in regards to the time required to build a structure. We spend too much time haggling and talking and less time building than we used to!

ESB was made of steel, Burj is a near solid concrete mass. You cant compare the two.
