Hi all.

Hi Azn.

Cool.

Just wondering where you where coming from.

Your right - The WTS nowadays is built on hubris and ego. There is always some stated reason for building it but there is no real need to build higher than anyone else. Building tall has been going on for thousands of years and is one of the things I like about civilizations.

Ray.
I too find building tall fascinating, I have always cathegorized world's tallest buildings in 2 cathegories:

1, Built for height but still keep usefullness in mind, like the Twins or the Willis Tower. This cathegory always seemed more fascinating to me because the buildings from it appeared more realistic and purposefull to me.

2, Built for height, height and only height, like the pyramids at Giza, Burj Khalifa or the Kingdom Tower. Even though these buildings are just trophies of their owner's wealth they still are awesome achievements by our civilization and even though money could be spent for more important things, I as a skyscraper fanatic still love them. I absolutely love how the Burj Khalifa is as a skyscraper the tallest structure in the world. Before the Burj Khalifa I always thought that masts will 4ever rule that cathegory. And I can't wait 'til the Kingdom Tower will beat the 1 kilometer mark

The project is already approved, meaning, yes they do have a building permit.

My hatred of that round platform grows and grows. Why do they have to ruin this beautiful building with it?

This tower has a thousand times better design than the Burj Dubai. I really like every aspect of it. Bravo Mr. Smith.

I don't know if it was the rendering, but the observation deck seemed really small and there didn't seem to be much of a railing or any protection from falling...
