I guess that makes us 2

You can even see that the first "2" in 25,250 was pasted, it's obviously a joke.

Prince AlWaleed lost 4 billion dollars in the past few months.. Credit Crisis 'n all..

So i don't see this project happening any more.. not in this economic climate at least..

Not really, but they could need professional climbers. Air density is well in acceptable breathing levels at a 1km height. Sure, the air will be colder but it is not hard to adjust.

Most important thing is that the workers aren't afraid of height.

Workers on this building need to be twice as brave as those worked on SWFC.

You fall from 1000m - you are dead
You fall from 50m - you are dead
What is the difference? :P

I'm saying looking down from 900-1000m above ground is completely different level from looking down from 500m above the ground. (not talking about death)

Even the person with experience of working on 500m above ground may find 1000m or 900m above ground very disturbing.

I don't think so. I'd actually argue that lower heights are more scary as you have a stronger sense of height with reference points in sight. So i don't think 100m is less scary than 500, let alone 1000.

I see your point but trust me I know, I've looked down from 100m before when I was 7 and its piece of cake and nothing to be afraid of. But holy 500m or 800m is something different.

But important thing is everyone has different fears, some can't even live in a second floor flat and always has to remain on the ground.

^ no man just in your head.....most of the Saudi Infrastructure and development projects (now) is made with IPO if someone told you...so basically the private sector is baying for everything
and by the way, prince Al waleed has nothing to do with government and the oil prices!!and really I know normal people (from outside the royal family) has bigger impact on the decision making, more than anyone in the royal family.so not everything is revolving around them. I just lough my A** off every time I hear some comments telling us this project or that is gonna be canceled because the oil prices!!
and by the way the Saudi government is going to invest more than $ 400 billion in the next 5 years,,and you know what???it's all already PAID
