Very fast construction

This will be the highest skyscraper humans every built in world history. And the arab is building it,like the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

But i think Dubai has plans to built higher skyscrapers than Jeddah Kingdom Tower. The race of the highest skyscrapers will be in the arab world in Middle East.

Burj Mubarak Al Kabir

Al Burj ( Madinat Al Arab )

it can go sideways

we should be able to use less shafts for more elevators, just image them going circularly

The king just died. He had a rather advanced age though, so I hope it is not that big of a shock for the country. And i hope his half brother will be a good leader for the country.

The Saudi Royal family as a whole, is said to be worth almost 2 trillion USD. Pretty crazy

2,000 Billion ? I don't think so.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, King Abdullah's net worth is at a whopping $18 billion. Aside from being King and regent of Saudi, King Abdullah served as the Commander of the National Guard for 48 years. Through his reign, King Abdullah managed to pull his country through the recession.

King Abdullah's net worth is surprisingly not that huge compared to other royals who earn even more. The late Saudi King only ranks at number five. It is actually Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Alsaud who ranks at number one with his net worth of $30 billion. He is then followed by the King of Thailand with $30 billion, Sultan of Brunei with $20 billion, and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahayan at $18 billion.

Like others said, it is unfortunate to hear of his passing, but hopefully it is able to be handled in a smooth fashion since the king was quite old (91? wow). While one may argue that with new rules may come a change in laws and all that, only a few would particularly pertain to the construction of this project.

I'd imagine if it's already this far ahead that the funds have been fully committed and there is no reason to stop.

It doesn't, and if any(which I doubt) new laws are put into effect by the new King, then I highly doubt they will have any effect on Kingdom Tower or it's construction. The wealthiest Royal of them all, Prince Al-Waleed, has $ome influence in SA, I'm $ure. Remember, they are all family
