As an illustration: 2 clips of the highrise cranes at the Burj khalifa.

The first clip shows the tower when it was approx. 650 m high.
Up to 600 m. is concrete, the steel spire has been erected for approx. 50 m.
170 m. to go!
Of the 3 original cranes, one was removed and placed on one of the tiers, approx. 350 m. high.

The second clip shows the hoisting of the jib of this intermediate crane:

KT has no tiers, but a taper shape all to the top.
This makes the "puzzle" with the cranes a little different.
Another difference is that the concrete of KT will go up to approx. 960 m., so a steel spire of "only" 50 m.

It's just theoretical. Of course the calculation would be extremely complex if you want to calculate it exactly.

I think it would be possible to see KT from the top of Burj Al Bait and vice versa.

if you use this website, and click on Jeddah and Dubai, you will see that there are mountains over 1000m high in between, so definitely not possible to see one from the other.
for the tower in Mecca, the highest mountain in between is about 600m, so probably not possible.

I get only 600m mountains max. So the line of sight from the top of the tower to the other should be possible ? (Jeddah -> Mecca)

Using that website I definitely think you would be able to see it from the top of Burj Al Bait. If you were at the observatory at 500m plus the elevation of the base ~350m you might not be able to see the base of the KT but you would probably be able to see most of it. I mean it's a 1000m building.

Even if it were 10x higher (30,000 ft) you would still not be able to see it from the top of Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

It's amazing that such a giant skyscraper is possible to build on desert ground.
Would be interesting to know how much the amount of concrete and steel was.
