How accurate is this really? Isn't the concrete that we see primarily the core. The outer shell is glass and I'm pretty sure they are not going to place the glass on that concrete. So from the concrete core now going up there's got to be a gap for floorspace to the outer cladding, no?

No, the glass will be added directly on the concrete. There won't be floors arround the concrete.

There are a few good schematics floating about on these pages but yeah both Burj Khalifa and Kingdom Tower are unique in that the core is in a sense, the majority of their floor plan. The floors will of course fill in the gaps and interior, but compared to a normal building, no, we probably won't be seeing any outriggers / floors beyond a central core. The lower levels seem to have a large podium as is typical for these buildings so they might have some larger floor spaces that connect to the tower's, but in terms of traditional core, then floors past that, then cladding, not really.

Any corewall that extends to the outermost perimeter will just be bracketed and have glass or other material affixed.

Look at some of the lower levels of Ping An for example where there's that black backing material and it'll be similar there. They may cover it in a solid panel or it may be glass, but behind it there's no window there!

On march 2011 there was a very strong earthquake in japan called the "Tōhoku earthquake".
In the news i saw videos of wiggling and swaying skyscrapers, the people inside were save and no skyscraper collapsed. But smaller buildings got damaged or destroyd.
When a structure is build earthquake proof it dosen't make a difference beetween huge highrises or small buidlings. So you could live in a skyscraper without fear of earthquakes.
Personally i would like to live in such a supertall!

First, we will see the construction of the concrete floor slabs along the core and wings.
(But not on the outer, inclining walls of the wings; these are the ends of the wings and will not become bigger in horizontal dimension).

After that, cladding may start.
But I do not expect it before somewhere half 2015.
(The inclining walls of the wings will also get cladding).

Sorry but your explanation makes no sense at all. There is no way they are going to add cladding to that concrete facade. There will be floors extending from those cores especially linking the wings and extending out from the central core. Maybe not from the wings' outer core.

Just look at this google image.

The three side wings would be too thin. They will definitely be surrounded by floorspace and then cladding. Otherwise it would be just a giant concrete bunker in the way you describe it. What would be the point of building a giant building with almost no floorspace, and the floor space that is available, within concrete walls with hardly any view out of the all glass outer wall. The Burj Kalifa is not built that way. I can't imagine they would do this here. But time will tell.
