Impressive. But needed? There are many projects needing funding which benefit society more than competing in who builds the highest.

Most of the world man-made wonders, are not made because is needed.... but because is possible, is part of the human nature to build, create and impress (call it vanity, or whatever adjetive you want) and there's no moral absence on it.

It's a sad truth, but the world is built by the hand of the hard workers and not just the dreamers.

Many famous buildings in the history of mankind were not necessarily build from rational reason.
The agyptian pyramids, ankgor wat, the taj mahal, cologne cathredral and so on...till to modern "buildings" and constructions like the Eiffel Tower, st. Louis arch, the huge buddha statues in asia, the empire state building aso...
All theese were at least symbols of power, spirit, passion and making real what seems to be impossible.
Kingdom Tower will be an example for this way.

This is what I have drawn up so far all to scale. It's amazing to see how deep those concrete piles are! 5M Concrete raft and concrete piles at 45, 65, 85 and 105M!

Damn, can't upload the PDF print I made. How do I upload a file?

It's ok to have a handful of buildings that are the highest, biggest, whatever. This building on its own may not be beneficial or even profitable, but look at Dubai, New York, Hong Kong, etc. Just building these buildings first draws attention. That brings people with money there, many of which start businesses, and over time those cities become rich. Why is it that some cities remain small, even disapear while others become giant metropolises? Either trade, new ideas, but something unique happened in all the worlds great cities, sometime long ago, "that put them on the map." Jedah was a nobody city that no one heard of. Dubai used to be a nobody city that no one heard of and look at it now. Jedah will probably become like Dubai. "If you build it they will come."

It works! Looks cool and interesting ! Go on with drawing when it rises.
IT'S NOT MY PIC, IT'S FROM WOOPUT
To put a picture into a post for example your drawing (hope you let me use it here...)
there's an icon for it. When you push it you have to copy the URL into and that's it.

So, who builds the highest won't benefit any society, huh?
