I wonder if anyone can estimate the final height judging on the angle of the slope with the ground.

So I presume, judging on the total height of the crane sections ready to be installed into the core, that they will have a jumping crane which jumps independently within the jump-form, as opposed to a crane which is attached to the jump-form and climbs as the core grows.

Wow. 1000 metres is tall. Too bad it's in the middle of a desert, only there for the oil.

Spires don't count as height - they just look stupid, like the Freedom Tower in New York. All mouth and no trousers.

Good question, also have no idea.
But it's funny, sometimes i have the deja-vu feeling witnessing the burj khalifa rising a second time. Same architect, same 3 wings form etc.
I think in such great heights it's difficult to follow many other approaches
such as completely different load - bearing structure design, etc.
I doubt that the design of the next mega high project will changed a lot
in comparison with BK and KT.

That's a very nice collection of this thread's most frequently posted clichés, but you forgot to complain about the treatment of workers.

Not necessarily. Take a look at the Azerbaijan Tower. It's very different from what we're used to see with the BK & KT.
City of Silk in Kuwait is another example for a more or less "tube design" without 3 wings.

I did this comparison just for fun. To be as accurate as possible, I used the diagram with the scale and I considered 500 feet=152 m

OH WELL....

credit goes to quoted picture and SSP illustrator. Accuracy might have suffered under the amount of consumed scotch whiskey of original poster

looks like ground works for surrounding projects (which i hope), but then again, they are just too big for individual projects

<i like how your last search was 'hong kong'>
