Ubhur creek is natural. It wasn't dredged.
The render is angled that way to make the envisioned highrises in the foreground look taller. They don't want the Jeddah tower to look too out of scale.

^ Amazing shots. It's starting to become very prominent and becoming more visible from various points in the city.

I guess yours was an embedded youtube video?

I can never see them on my computer either. They are simply not there. Just a few empty white rows. Think it's some combination of security software on my computer that blocks some videos.

Thanks for posting a direct link which worked fine. Would be very grateful if you and anyone else doing video links could include a direct link every now and then.

I save your youtube channel though. Thanks for the work on those.

I'm really looking forward to this building, but look at the buildings on the side of the road there. Is it just me or does it seem utterly absurd to build a 1000 m. structure in a city like that? I know they'll build a lot of other towers to accompany it but still.

It´s really impressive, and is only possible with the simultaneous construction of an entire urban infrastructure. There is no way to build something like that on a consolidated real estate area

Is there another city that would work better for a Kilometer tall Skyscraper? I mean, you really can't blend in a 1000m Skyscraper unless you will surround it with Burj Khalifa's
The "Utterly Absurd" part about your comment is what makes this Tower so awesome, my friend

Well Ubhur is largely a beach community. It's akin to building a megatall on Long Island instead of Manhattan, which is a little absurd but the reason is alluded to by Little Church below:

The profitability (if any) of this project relies on low land acquisition cost and realising an increase in the land value of the surrounding plots to the main tower in the project.
There are large plots in Jeddah that would make a far better location but they are very expensive and they won't appreciate as much with a WTB built within the vicinity.
Beyond the waterfront plots which are extremely expensive, land in Ubhur is cheap.
