Trying to be as salty as you makes me feel sorry for you. Cannot be as childish as you.

I'm all for off-topic discussions to keep this thread interesting, but you and your little minions went too far. I enjoy witty and insulting comments like yours, but they belong to chat-dedicated thread.
Can you tone it down little bit? please and thank you.

The video above was very interesting, although quite technical! It was very concerned with the design, more than the construction - the presenter did mention he thought the tower would be at 300 m by the end of this year, and would top out sometime in 2018.

The CN Tower even got a mention for its early triangular design, which both the BK and the Jedda Tower use. It's where I took the photo for my avatar, and I also recently took a photo of the CN Tower from an airplane on my recent trip to Bulgaria.

Interesting video. Didn't realize this tower was going to be mostly residential use.

This corresponds to 28.195 tons or 56,390 pounds per square foot (psf) or 392.6 PSI!

The detail about the piles and how the soil layers behave was a real highlight in that video.

Hi all.

I agree Dave. I enjoy all technical details and stages of the construction phase of a structure's life cycle but the foundation stage and the planning phase before that I find most interesting.

For instance, in my opinion, the Empire State Building feels taller than the WTC because the tapering elongates the structure. WTC's more uniform shape kind of masks how immense it is.
There really is not much of a difference in the two building, at the roof it is less than 150 feet between them.

Have you ever been to the dam, and seen where they working? You have temperatures that are extreme, walls that are extreme, rushing water in the bottom, and loads of dynamite. Add all of that up , and yes you get accidents and deaths.
