Hard to tell but the terraced flanges look 15-20 feet deep, coupled with the width of the hammerhead wall. Thus each deep bay / room seems almost 40x50' or maybe a bit smaller. Plenty of enough space for a huge apartment, or a smaller home in each section. The building is indeed large yet not ridiculously so, and it should provide adequate enough space for needs as any program should.

This one is now getting competition, since "The Tower" in Dubai has started construction and it may well be taller than this skyscraper. However "The Tower" is not a skyscraper but an observation tower. And for the floor space the Twin Towers each had more usable floor space than the Jeddah Tower. However this is understandable since this building needs a lot more support columns and walls due to its great height. Can't wait to see this one get its cladding!

That is false, Jeddah Tower will have more floor area than the Empire State Building and is nothing like the Space Needle.

Look at the men in the picture on the left, now think about the last hotel you stayed in, Plenty of room there. Same goes for an office or apartment, take the segments on the end of a floor, and you have a huge space.

Is it really this small?

I know the actual floor area is quite low, but I thought at the end of the day it was still close to the Burj Dubai at 3,330,000 usable. But this is what the wikipedia (I know) infobox says:

243,886 m2 (2,625,167 sq ft)[3]

That is half the size of some of the existing and under construction 100+ floor buildings, from Sears tower to the new ones in China.

It used to be reported that the "total building area" or "total construction area" was about five million square feet. So the usable will be half of that?

and
2. your picture of Ping An IFC is about 3/5 of the true thickness, i guess it was stretched to fit but forgot to widen accordingly?

For those who don't know the building very well, just look at real photos, you'll quickly see that this image is about 3/5ths as wide as the real thing; i know one should probably only take CTBUH and official sources but if you compare the buildings of this diagram at skyscraperpage it should be accurate enough and show just how thick PAFC is compared to even JT
http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?searchID=202

if you further compare between built iconic buildings like ESB, Taipei 101, it is logical that those have smaller GFA

between old 1&2 WTC and Willis tower it is interesting that an only 6 m increase in the base sides width results in an about 16000m² higher GFA though there are many setbacks and already about at the middle it has less total sectional area than the old 1&2 WTC, but i guess the Willis Towers column-free "mega-modules" also contribute in this regard

But if you look at ICC and its body being one of the most steadily massive rectangular ones of todays supertalls, one wouldn't expect that the tapering SWFC has almost 1.4 times the GFA of ICC, this is what is fascinating imo

while the Jeddah Tower in no way has a small GFA, in relation to its high floor count and height it really isn't very big but as i said before, enough for its purpose

And it is good as it is just like Burj Khalifa, the proportions are right and necessary

As I remember the final hight of the tower is not confirmed and they only said +1000m right?
Do you think they still have the chance to increase the height to more than 1006m?

Wow I can't believe this is a concrete building!

12-13psi concrete at the bottom with just grade 60 (equivalent) rebar.

Impressive!

The Tower in Dubai should be higher than Jeddah Kingdom Tower

This is an amazing project! This tower is likely to be the most futuristic building in the world.

The Tower at Dubai Creek Harbour is not a freestanding structure.

The top is a metal spire that has a different angle than the rest of the tower, so the height can easily be increased by a bit in the last phase of construction
