Just google 2 words together: "trump talal" (then select "images"). The discovery will surely make you perplexed.

Because of trump.
I've read somewhere that he wants this tower to be called big Donald.. otherwise he won't buy oil from Saudi Arabia.

Ehm, you mean Burj Dubai/Khalifa, right? The main difference you can easily spot for making attached floorplates possible is, if there are any openings for the doors or hallways in the wall, they certainly wouldn't be cut out afterwards

absolutely true, so far i can't recall a render of a big supertall being really accurate, at least not in this stage 3-4 years from topping-out or opening; i guess in this case it showed a possibility of designing the surrounding area, we know the outcome always differs and sometimes a lot, not that it would sadden me - i think one can do waaay better than that proposal

Let's not be like many of the highly emotion-driven voters of this interesting presidential election and instead wait for facts of the people with them or those on-site or insiders regarding this project

Also the same question about its progress has been asked multiple times, please at least read the last 3-5 pages, so you'll notice frequently asked questions. (It also could have been already explained in other cases, not in this as far as i know.) It would be nice to keep the thread "clean" and not kind of spam it with recurring short texts with no content regarding the topic, though i am not any better in most cases

This is not a demand but more a reminder of sticking to the thread rules (if i recall them correctly) and enjoying the factual basis about this interesting build, cheers.

At this point i also want to thank all the contributors, you are wonderful and keep up the good work!

While there are no doors in the end walls, you could joins the rooms on either side to make some great spaces with a view on three sides. In every view the ends are covered with glass, that glass will need to cleaned, inside and out, and just to finish and install it will require some type of work area, so I guess we must wait for glass to start to see how the ends are finished.

yeah, that would be nice, but i think it won't happen as in this design they made the main structural rigidity come from walls, the internal and external surface walls combined with the core

It is also never shown in another render, that the surface walls are opened, maybe there will be openings for maintenance and technical equipment, but i guess, if there will be attachments, then only at the lower floors, which is shown in a way in the render you adressed, then again it would break up the clean steady flat silhouette of its sides, so we don't expect that

and if you look at the link naki posted earlier, you can see how ther are smaller spaces wiht side views https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUAtPtFfB04

The end walls will remain the edges of the construction.
No doors, no windows.
Cladding yes, maybe combined with lighting.
But nothing more.

I'm sure that's exactly the original idea, although it's such a pity they've decided to terminate the butts tightly, especially that the necessity for it was dictated by the ragtime idea of "sprout-tip" design (as if this building will be owned by a biotech company).

I think by the time this tower is completed that full self driving electric cars will be commonplace

The wings were lit when it used to be in full swing. Now they're lackluster.

I think by the time this tower is completed it will be just another average midrise.
