Al Saif may help us more these days to know what's happening on the area since that useless cam website is still in its deep sleep

Any way even though Shard is shorter it'll always be worth more than this tower when finished. Jeddah Tower will never reach the value of a square foot that Shard is worth in a million years so good job to the Qataris who built it.
Wasn't Shard also built by Middle Easterner?

It occupies a great location, but it's very hard to imagine any floor plans to be even freakier than Shard's. They look as if the architect had a goal to make it the least suitable for all types of space usage.

The owner is Qatari, but the developer is local.

I could imagine they themselves shut down the construction webcam to not expose there is no progress done at this tower, no progress or very little progress.

I've saw on the tv journal some news about counterfeinting , and at one moment they showed some construction equipements "this one was from Jeddah" and later show the poor quality of it.

Damn if there is an accident on the site, we'll know why

Inside work.

I still see no signs of any interior work being started, this like electrical, piping, HVAC ducts, on the BK a lot of this was put in long before they started to clad the building. From what I can see even at the lowest levels, there is still only concrete.

Also a question for those who live in the region, any signs of the cladding test rig around the site? If you recall on BK they built a small structure to test and learn how the cladding was to be installed.

Hi Slugbelch.

By my count were at the floor of level 52 - 209.925 meters.
Still 1 more level before we overtake the 4 year holder - Met Life.
The 17 year holder - Woolworth is yet to come.

Don't look only at the tower. The digging progresses in all that big area is magnificent and looks promising. Soon, the whole area will look crazy

I guess they are changing the cam locations for a much bigger construction area

Maybe the cam did not stop working. They turned it off and choosing a better location that is far away

So in the latest pics, all the cranes are idle again. Could this be on-hold now?

To each their own.
