construction started 4 years ago and they're stuck at around 230m

burj khalifa took 5 years to build! , al braij 8 years (and it's one of the most voluminous world's batiment), pingan finance (599m fuk it, it's a megatall ) 7 years ...

they're plannign for 2020 , but at this pace it seem unlinely

While construction during the last few months has been quicker, if it continues to take this long per floor, the infrastructure would not be done until 2025. Yet, assuming that it will take less time per floor being that floor space decreases higher up, it should be complete around 2020 and open one or two years later.

As allways...with each new top building, and this building will not be the exception,
it will be next location of the James Bond‘s film

So far, BK was not used in a 007 movie.

Only in Mission Impossible 4.

did you confuse something? NONE of the Bond Movies featured the tallest Building at any time! Only in "Live and Let Die" (1973), New York City, where the just finished WTC Twin Towers were, was featured but i guess you couldn't even see them once in the movie as opposed to the ESB and Chrysler bldg, probably since the filming happened in 1972, when the South Tower wasn't finished (the North tower's antenna was added in 1978)

Your statement doesn't make any sense, since neither of the following top tallest buildings' locations Chicago, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Dubai or even remotely contenders in respective time were filming locations of James Bond Movies
only Hong Kong's Bank of China Tower in "Die another Day" (2002) and later Shanghai in "Skyfall" (2012) come to mind, when SWFC and Jin Mao Tower were shown alongside Shanghai Tower's core under construction still at about 250m; in "Tomorrow never dies" (1997), the only 194m tall "Thai Wah Tower II" of Bangkok with an added cgi spire serves as the antagonists HQ in Vietnam

I reading whole pages this Jeddah Tower seem people post wrong information
This Jeddah Tower not slowly or on hold ... this is under construction
Burj Khalifa was fast building because ground not soft
This place was flooding over time thousands years by sea
Need slower building rather than hurry up or collapse
59 storey right now I guess top out on 2019 September
Opening 2021 summer time easygoing building
Weight more likely 4 time more than Burj Khalifa because over 1000 metres
But 2019 September reach 673 metre about 425 metre to go
Then they put spire taking 14 months .... there you go
If you go Jeddah city look around then you would be understand that
If they slow building then they're under construction
Diamond Tower under construction now because wrong local once use well water

Here is a diagram I created using the earthcam images. Along the x axis is the number of weeks since the beginning of 2015, while along the y axis is the number of floors at each point in time. As you can see, the beginning of 2015 marked a rapid growth of the tower, at a little more than a week per floor (1 meter every 2-3 days). Mid 2015, spontaneous delays and slower construction became the norm. However, towards the end of 2015, construction picked up its pace until mid 2016, when contractor issues arose. Construction was slightly faster towards the end of the year, at a peak in October. For a brief period in mid 2017, the tower was rising quickly, but not as quickly as it first started off.

Much of that info on the BK was from info I broke down and presented in various forums.

Discussion on this topic should be done in the BK thread.

Things seem to be moving faster now - the pouring mechanism is extended right now in the left wing on the webcam shot... as of now, about 4 a.m. local time, July 17.

If they want to insure finish at 2019,the speed must be 3 days per floor from now on, and never slow down again! Hope the speed is up!

3 floors per day all the way up from now on is pretty unlikely. I would be happy with a steady progress of 1 floor per week.

Not for a tower of this scale. It was almost on hold over the past one year.
