The temparture shown is also awesome.
In the Netherlands, it's snowing...

BTW:
Who really cares if the current height is 258 or 262 m?
I wish it were much and much higher by now, as we all do...

I reaaaally hope they learn from Dubai’s car centric mistakes. They’re starting from scratch. Use some type of a street grid and nice architecture. Lately Dubai has nice towers but it took em a while to find their style leaving many turds n horrible streets in its wake. They’re starting from scratch. Take the best from all the great cities and incorporate them. What’s the plan for transit here?

Following an international competition, Foster + Partners has been awarded a major contract for the design of a comprehensive transit system in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The London-based firm plans to create a series of hubs for rail, bus, ferry, and bicycle travel. After the project is completed, which could be as early as 2020, half of the residents of Jeddah, the second-largest Saudi city, will live within a ten-minute walk of this new state-of-the-art, sustainable network.

The hubs will serve as more than a means for transportation. Inspired by the narrow, shaded streets of Jeddah's ancient city center, Foster + Partners has designed an elevated rail system that will run above a series of public spaces, providing shade from the region's intense sunlight. The firm hopes that these hubs will spur development in many neighborhoods.

Nice but I hope this isn't a one time thing .. they really need to have 10 times the workers on site to make this one go faster.

I have to agree. I remember watching as the Burj Khalifa was rising, and it always seemed to be in a race to get to the top. This one usually seems to be rising at a very leisurely pace.
