Looks nice. Strange to think that until bout a decade ago this town used to be part of South Africa - like an island in the middle of another country!
All those seals and flamingos on the beach look amazing!

Namibian cities are just great. Same standard on all cities, that's how it should be.

Namibia is one of the countries I would love to visit in my lifetime. Their cities are just amazing.

Good pics. Although I know how hard it is to get a lot of recent images of Walvis Bay, small city. I have a Windhoek, Luderitz and Swakopmund thread on this African section also.

I find Namibia interesting and attractive.

Hsark, what's the timing between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay by land vehicle ? Are both centers 30 minutes away from each other ?

it seems this has a very low density of people..empty streets, empty "many things"..but, somehow that´s good to the inhabittants and local animals: native or that show up in certain seasons..changing the subject, beautiful picture of the seals´crowd..wonderful. congratulations for the thread.

Namibia has slightly more than 2 million people, never been there but it looks very relaxed and beautiful.

Population:

2,088,669

Population growth rate:

0.947% (2008 est.)

Namibia is a vast country, its surface area is 824 268 km², about 4 times the size of the United Kingdom and 27 times the size of Belgium
