whoaa seriously this is great news if it gets apprpved and built IMHO
yeaa i know about the gambling etc. but think of all the positive things it will bring to the area/country plus a mdern landmarkk !!!

Although I do agree they ought to focus more on improving the infastructures in Manila NCR

Think we should leave out tv-towers... or make an extra section!
Not really a skyscraper for me!

The design is kinda fugly, but atleast it has height, won't be too iconic though.

I think there's nothing wrong with this project. As long you can do it, you have the right to show what your country can offer best to the whole world. If other country have envison this and made it, why Philippines CAN'T.

What is Macau's Tradition for gambling? Does Las Vegas has a tradition as well? That should be in East Asia. (South Asia is India)

According to the information from PAGCOR, this is an Entertainment City and not just a gambling area. There is a Theme park, Broadways and Sports Arean in the place.

Whatever it is, that projects gave us a megastructure that will become an ID for this entertainment City like how Burj Alarab and Burj Dubai gave to Dubai, and Sear Tower for Chicago.

Okay, to start it all, that's not the tower's official rendering. It's just a mere press release type of plan. I think, the actual planning of the tower doesn't really start until after the first entertainment components have been built.

Second, the project's not about just casino and gambling. What they meant by the "next Las Vegas" was that they plan this project to be an entertainment complex - with live shows, themed hotels, cavernous shopping strips and the like. It ain't plain gambling. It's more of a mixed-use development - residential and commercial components included.

If the government want to build something like this, they should pick a regional location where this complex can stand on it's own. Somewhere else that could do with the jobs and infrastructure.

Agreed, some other city could use this, maybe Clark, Cebu, etc. And considering that it will be built in reclaimed land... However, if they do get a very reputable contractor, then this might excite me a bit.

Surprisingly, this will be very near the airport, yet compatible with the flight patterns of the planes which depart and arrive from either the side going to Rizal, or the Laguna Bay area. Even if I am not a fan of this proposal, I have to admit that it will be cool to view this from ascending/descending plane.

It looks like something from an old World's Fair postcard. I find it hard to believe this is the final design. The design doesn't look realistic, structurally. It even looks like something that should be guyed with wires.

A reminder to everyone that none of the designs you see in the above poster are part of the final design. In fact, the tower in the poster is the previous rendition of the Pagcor Tower..... which I'm glad was changed.
