The older glorietta seems to look better than the new one. The new one reminds me of robinsons ermita when it first opened in the 90s. The new G2 looks like a typical SM mall. I dunno maybe Im just expecting something better from ayala. Not excited at all.

Would look cozier if they used high gloss black procelaine tiles matched with textured brown. Plus black tiles wont look dirty and the stores and shops will stand out with their bright lightings. They could also have put on coverings on those pillars and not just plain paint.

glorietta will always be glorietta. i feel good doing my shopping at glorietta and greenbelt. imho, these two shopping destinations are unmatchable when it comes to security, comfort and convenience.

what's also good is the ayalas always make innovations and improvements on their shopping malls all over the country.

pero parang mas upper class pa rin ang crowd ng Glorietta compared to TriNoma.

@Eaton_Square: maliwanag po dun, mukha lang dim kasi camphone lang gamit ko.

Ayala developments, be it residential condo's, mix used developments and commercial centers i think have not strayed from their 'classic' themed design in all their projects. They always make typical and conventional designs and just inject a few twists to make it more acceptable and adaptable to the modern times.

I have not seen any development locally that has an 'ultra modern' concept in their projects (including Ayala) as compared to some of our South Eat Asian neighbors.

Look at Bangkok, KL and Jakarta, they have countless commercial/office/mix-use/resdl projects that are totally unique and have gone beyond the conventional design, say in its facade at least as what we have here in Manila.

what happened in Glorietta can happen anywhere and at any time. such incident (at Glorietta) has not diminished my preference to do my shopping and dining in Glorietta, as well as in Greenbelt. that's why I said: Glorietta will always be Glorietta.

exactly the same reason why we should always be reminded to be extra vigilant so that it won't happen again... anywhere. no malice or pun intended.

I think CPI's Lifestyle Center and MW's Uptown are unique and very pleasing to the eyes. BTW, I still miss the QUAD days when Ayala Center (MCC) was full of greens.
