I might have spoken too soon regarding the parking garage. I see a new photo of the west facing elevation and it looks like there's some open space close to the ground -- maybe even some retail???

This may be OK after all.

Ugh

I'm sorry, but I think this building is horrendous. I really hope it doesn't get built.

Love this tower. The base not so much, but everything from the 10th floor up looks awesome. The funky angles rock - from the outside and in (I was checking out the floor plans online and I think this is a very well-designed tower all-around - if I had a couple mil lying around I would buy the duplex unit on floor 42-43. Beautiful building

It's ok, I'd change a few things to make it more modern.

Also the 60's building architecture, let's leave that in the past where it belongs.

I like this building. It's a departure from the normal boxy look.

I'll have to agree. It's just plain ugly.

I agree, and if you look at the apartment layouts on the website, they are nothing special; except expensive!

ick

we visited the sales center recently and am really not impressed. very expensive and you have no options -- every apartment will have the same floors, kitchens and bathrooms. and there will be other high rises on top of it practically in every direction practically blocking all probable views!

This site needs a nice 1400/1500 footer, so maybe we can hold out some hope if this fails.

The angular design of this proposed 57-story condominium tower is eye-catching, but the look has wooed few buyers. Weak sales at the $180-million project, designed by well-known architect Ralph Johnson, a principal with Chicago-based Perkins & Will Inc., have raised questions about its future.

I hope this p.o.s bites the dust. 680 N. Rush is the tower they should have try to sell.

Too bad about the weak sales. I'm actually a fan of this one, and that area of Streeterville would be nicely filled out with a tower on that site.
