According to current GS president (won't bid for the 2008 elections) GS plans to built a +15,000 Arena next to the stadium.
But it will be built after the conctruction of the stadium (2010) Therefore the called the area already Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex (full name is: Aslantepe Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex AASYSC )

I would prefer Shell r at least GaSprom
![]() Rumours say: "Gazprom Stadium": 10 mil USD / year "Gazprom Dome*": they will finance the new sports hall next to the stadium. *: I called it Dome, because the new Zenit Stadium will be called Gazprom Arena

190 mil is IMO too much for a stadium in Turkey

We need minimum 61'905 to 71'905 seats ... in a few years this stadium will be too small for a big club like Galatasaray.
And I heard that it isn't possible to expand this stadium... so we should do it befor it's finished

Imagine that!
![]() But certainly, 60+ would have been better and more 'future-proof' for GS and its ambitions. Especially since this stadium looks tricky to expand by a large amount...

Is there anyone who knows if this stadium is expandable...?
to 70'000 or higher..? It's similar to the emirates stadium and I heard that you can expand emirates to 80'000 so.. or can anyone see a reason why it shouldn't be possible to expand?...
