fantastic indoor?
There is only Abdi Ipekci
The rest is u/c or proposed

money, money, money
that was and is still the biggest proble

Olmypic stadium cost only 135 mil $-US. IMO you can see that. Quiete cheap looking
FB stadium was built by sponsors (stands behind the goals) or the club

Turkey in genral sucked in sport venues
But things are changing

Istanbul
-Atatütk Olympic 75.486 (possible expansion to 94.000 for Olympics Istanbul)
-FB stadium (52.530 or 50.509 ) built
-New GS stadium (+52.500) approved
-New BJK stadium (36.000) proposed, IMO to small for BJK

-Sinan Erdem Dome (22.500) looks like this never ending story will be finished in 2008. Conctruction started in 1993!!
-Abdi Ipekci Arena (10.550) built
-New Ülker/FB stadium (12.000) proposed, but will be built 100%
-new Basketball Arena (15.000-20.000) proposed. IMO we do not need. Or We should turn Sinan Erdem into an inddor swimm hall
-Burhan Felek Arena expansion for Voleyball WC
http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=449054

-34 new Tennis courts. Biggest one will have a capacity of 10.000 and a retraceable roof

which will be built in future?Asp or Hok design?Hok design is better i think. Why they don´t built HOK.It has more organic design. The roof design is better with two big elegant curves. It looks like the emirate stadion of Arsenal but with much better roof.I also like the GS LOGO infront of the stadium which will used as stairs to go up to the stadium.Very intelligent design.

The ASP design is not bad.But it is more classic. The HOK desgin is between classic and ultraorganic.
The most ultraorganic design i have seen is the new stadium of VALENCIA and the olympic stadion of Bejing which looks like a big bird arche.

But it stayed

Actually the M.Köy project (old stadium area) is the main project.

the stadium will be demolished and a congress center, hotel tower, 10 underground storey car park, etc is proposed to be planned

The companies are just preparing there bids
So, the company with the best M.Köy project (max. profit of the M.Köy project) will win the bid
But they have to build first the stadium than, 600 days later, than can start the conctruction of the new M.köy complex. 25% of the M.köy money will go to TOKI. The rest to the company.

The conctruction of the stadium is planned to be finished in max. 720 days.
But maybe it can be finished also in 18 months

I am so happy that Galatasaray will change the stadium place because Mecidiyeköy is a very dense URBAN AREA.Around stadium it is very tight and the stadium is surrounded by many buildings. No free Area. You cant built there a bigger one.Almost all modern stadiums In Europe are outside of URBAN AREA.I am also happy for Trabzonspor.I ve watched in TV and Erdogan says that Trabzonspor will built a new sport complex like Kayseri on the Black Sea coast instead of the city center.

IMO ASP is better
Especially in terms of fan/atmosphere
Look th the stands behind the goal and it looks like this one will have also like da Luz and Emirates a Business Tier.

No, but it looks like City of Man or wembley

You can easly add those glass/steel elements to the asp design. Just a matter of money

I realy would prefer a stadium were the second tire is bigger then the first, so not like Schalke but more like Hamburg, it gives a stadium more power my opinion...
Outside designs I realy like.

I really like this design too. The logo is cool, never seen such a thing before.
From the outside it's quite similar to existing stadiums like Emirates, Da Luz or Wembley though.

But you can't exüand the HOK stadium

We haven't a interior pic, but it looks like, that North, West and East stand have got 3 tiers and the South stand 1 big.
The 3rd tier of the West and East is like Da luz...its "oval"

You can change the roof of the asp design. A logo is possible for the asp design

GO ASP GO

True, but do you think ASP will back such changes to the design?

HOK Sports

ASP

GO ASP GO
Change Change Change Adding Adding you are talking always same.Yeah maybe you are right but they would do it after 20 years not right after the stadium is built. The outside design of ASP is very cheap and old.No glass and organic elements. The only thing which is good of ASP is the interiour design.
Also the roof is better than AufSchalke\Veltinsarena.But i like HOK very much.
I think sercan is the only who likes ASP

HOK looks better than Emirates Stadium or Luz.Also the roof is closeable.

Can you expand the HOKone? No, so why building a stadium where you have to have the same capacity for the coming 100 years?
20 years? You can add those elements immediately

No, GS board favours also the ASP design
