Nobody said that they will built the asp 1:1
You can change so many things
A 3rd ter was added to nou camp, bernabeu, san siro etc 50 years later
Look at Old trafford.

New stadiums of Liverpool and Everton are planned to be expaned later if necessary

You can easly add those glass/steel elements to the asp design. Just a matter of money
There is also the question WHAT FOR?! It would destroy the ASP design. In my opinion the only good thing about the HOK design is the passageway shaped in GS crest. Useful and impressive. On the other hand... stepping on one's crest is seen as dishonor, at least where I come from

Its just because it looks "cheaper" than HOK

IMO the GS logo think is more kitsch

Yeah, but GS board has to accept the HOK project.
Therefore TOKI, GSGSM and GS are studing this project.
Maybe it more expensive?
Rumours say that the GS board prefer the asp design

The HOk design looks a bit more sophisticated on the exterior imo.
I guess that is because of the glass facade.
Allthough the roof of the ASP design looks better.

Rumors tend to become reality, I'll drink to that Sercan

The GS logo is kitsch and isn't- it is a nice feature and it has it's uses (not ergonomic too much, but it's fresh anyway). The only thing is... it fits to the HOK design as much as it would fit to any other design in the world. Or actually not, I think it would look better with the ASP concept :P

After all painted concrete is far more relevant in a stadium less organic (bueh, hate this word, abused all the time, making many "organic" buildings shit). So ASP should get it .
Plus- is there anything else in the HOK design that would proove NEW? The arches? seen 'em way too often lately (Athens, Lisbon and Wembley were nice, but Winnipeg- also done by HOK- and thisone- it's ridiculous). The fasade- please, there's nothing in it. So let's combine a few of the recent trends together and voila- a new stadium. Well, eat this you Americans! Hope the GS board agrees with my pinion, or else I will impose it on them

After years of reading about changing conbcepts I thought it finally came to an end and Galata will have a great stadium, while HOK decided to mess around a bit.

How can one increase the capacity of the ASP design though? There aren't many 'gaps' which can be filled in or anything like that.

i think HOK is a little bit more expansive to built then ASP.Ok i think the roof of HOK is cheaper to built then ASP because it consists full of glass and is very light. But the glass facade and the big two curves are more expansive so at all ASP is little bit cheaper to built. To which capacity it is possible to increase the asp?????Maybe from 52.500 to 60.000??????65.000?????

You can easly add a 3rd tier to the ASP design. With another suit section between the 2nd and 3rd tier you can reach the 80.000 mark.
Please don't get me wrong. I do not say that GS should built a 80.000 seater.
I just want the option that the stadium is possible to expand, like Nou Camp, San Siro, Old Trafford and S. Bernabeu was.

Thanks michał_
I do not like the GS Logo in the HOK design, bceause the "T" part actually destroys it and under it there is nothing. So this will turn to a piss/garbage area.

For years the fans wants a "FAN" mark.
So a fan donates and therefore his name is written on a wall or something else.
This would combine the fans with the new stadium and it would bring some money for the club.

Tausend-Freunde-Mauer at Schalke

Fan Raute at Borussia Park

There is a big square betwenn the stadium and the highway.
You can just use "light red and light yellow" stones and create the GS logo.
And you can also add names of the fans which donate

Mabye burnished one would be better.

Today there was an article and it said that it will have 189 boxes.
150 private boxes (average. 125.000 $-US)
39 sponsor boxes

Ok sercan i am for ASP now.You have right. The outdoor square and steps are definately better and greater than HOK.Fans have more space. And also it is good that Galatasaray have the possibility in later times to increase the capacity to 80.000 people.WOOOOW.Maybe they will add also glass elements to the outside design of the stadium like the one of NOU CAMP

For example===>

New added glass facades of Nou Camp in Barcelona

Welcome welcome
Thats what i wanted to say
Adding glass (nou camp) or steel (Bernabeu) isn't a big think.
But adding a 3rd tier on a oval tier is a very big problem.

Option 1 is my favorite for Aachen.

For Galatasaray I would definitely choose the ASP-design. I love the sober aprouch. The atmosphere of the interior looks very nice. And the closed roof is an advantage as well. I just love it

I'm pretty sure it is. Part of the brief was to ensure that any proposal had certain features (52k capacicty, retractable roof, etc.) so I think the HOK design has one.

yes it is. But they use a different system. BTW, accoring to the turkish news the HOK roof would be the lightest stadium roof
