Could use a bit more greenery in the open space. No need to turn it into a stone/concrete dead zone.

Here is the apartment tower that will be just next to this building. (The ghost tower in the renders on the 1st page)

THIS IS NOT THE WALDORF=ASTORIA TOWER

Not too special....but combined with all the glass of Astoria and the Chicago Spire I am sure will look gleamy, shinny, and stunning

Well, there will be a small landscaped pocket park directly between W=A and the rental building directly behine the ballroom entry pavillion.

The hardscape plaza that you see in the images that I posted is already existing, and I agree with you that it needs work, but this developer doesn't own that land, so we'll see what happens. The neighborhood group is trying to being the developers of the rental tower and W=A together for a master landscaping plan.

I'm sorry, but this building just does not look right for me. It doesn't look classy at all. This is meant to be a Waldorf=Astoria. WTF! I've stayed in Best Westerns better than this junkheap.

"Junkheap" is rather overstating it. I know it's all about perceptions based on a few renders, but this building looks classy and sleek.

With each new render update I like this building more and more. My initial pet peeve was that it looked too much like the SWFC but not anymore really.
