Actually, i don't live in Beijing. I am actually a 21st Century Nomad (One who travels from place to place, I'm not in search of food, though). Anyway, they should have approved this tower instead of putting it on hold or cancelling it. this is, or was, a major improvement for Buffalo.

They did approve it.

He was just bad at managing money so all of his projects have been forced in to bankruptcy.

- CANCELLED -

Developer Bashar Issa encountered legal and financial problems at home in the UK and the site was sold at auction and leased for parking by another developer.

Of course they are. They are aware of nothing but there is nothing to be aware of so they are completely up to date.

It was silly to think a 600 foot skyscraper was going to be built in Buffalo. The whole metro area is going down the tubes - I think Erie Country is losing about 100,000 people a decade.

This is very sad but very true. Upstate New York is just totally screwed because of the state government and it isn't coming back any time soon.

1980 wants its comment back: Erie County actually gained population in the last three years according to the Census bureau and the city is one of the most economically stable in the country right now. Buffalo has had more development in the last 5 years than in the last 35 years. The only reason the Buffalo City Tower didn't get built is that its developer, a dodgy Manchester England hustler, didn't have the money to back his fancy talk. If it wanted to, M&T Bank could afford a 100 story headquarters in Buffalo. They are just very cautious about the money they spend...which is why that bank is one of the strongest in the US.

To bad it never really had a chance. It was a fine design for the city.

Nice to take a trip down Memory Lane, I guess. It's 2014, almost 6 years after this thing's cancellation. I never realized how beautiful this would've been.

Buffalo may get it's first new stadium in well over 40 years, why not a tower with it?
