One stop flights from Zagreb and Split (via Köln) to Zürich are already available on Germanwings' site.

Business.hr: Croatia Airlines traži još 37 milijuna kuna državnih subvencija

Hrvatska nacionalna aviokompanija ove bi godine trebala dobiti 55 milijuna kuna subvencija za pokrivanje gubitaka na domaćim redovnim zračnim linijama, no u tom avioprijevozniku očekuju da će na domaćem tržištu ubilježiti čak 92 milijuna kuna gubitaka. Taj je iznos CA i zatražio od resornog Ministarstva prometa, no za ovu godinu državnim mu je proračunom bilo odobreno 70 milijuna kuna subvencija. Sredinom godine, rebalansom državnog proračuna, iznos subvencija za CA je srezan i trenutno je za tu stavku predviđeno samo 55 milijuna kuna.

U skladu s EU

Državne subvencije od 55 milijuna kuna nacionalnom avioprijevozniku nedavno je blagoslovila i Agencija za zaštitu tržišnog natjecanja, no u CA su nezadovoljni tim iznosom jer smatraju da su i Ministarstvu, a kasnije i AZTNu u opširnom elaboratu i uz dodatna objašnjenja prikazali koliko gube na domaćim linijama. Pritom ističu da su kao nacionalna aviokompanija dužni održavati redovni domaći linijski zračni promet te da je isplata subvencija u tu svrhu u skladu s regulativom EU.

"Mi nećemo odustati od cjelokupnog iznosa i tražit ćemo rebalans proračuna. Smatramo da smo zahtjev za subvencije izradili korektno i u tih 92 milijuna kuna točno je izračunato u lipu koliki su naši stvarni gubici na domaćim linijama", tvrdi izvor iz CA. Naime, još je prošle godine zbog prilagodbe EU Ministarstvo prometa odlučilo da će CA isplaćivati subvencije na osnovi gubitaka na domaćim linijama. Za lanjsku godinu odobreno im je 56 milijuna kuna, iako su, tvrde, imali znatno veće gubitke u domaćem prometu. Lani je tako, kažu, CA na domaćim redovnim linijama ostvario 134,6 milijuna kuna prihoda, a troškovi su iznosili 216,08 milijuna kuna, što je prema njihovom računicama rezultiralo gubitkom nešto većim od 81 milijun kuna.

Za ovu su godinu pak zatražili više i od tih 81 milijuna kuna jer su imali i više letova na domaćim redovnim linijama nego lani.

Natječaj ili ne?

Iako se pozivaju na to da moraju održavati neisplativi domaći zračni promet, na pitanje zašto onda od države ne traže da raspiše natječaj za to u CA odgovaraju protupitanjem: "Koja bi druga aviokompanija pružala tako kvalitetnu vrstu usluge kao CA"?

OK I think I need to revise my traffic figures for all Croatian Airports.
My estimates where a bit to optimistic, I followed some trends and I better revise my estimates.

Barcelona, Madrid and London (STN) are added to the list of destinations that Germanwings serve from Zagreb. Flights are being operated via one of their German hubs. 4U claims that these one-stop flights are cheaper than buying two separate flights.

I would like it to be truth, but I have doubts. Your estimates are based on an average growth rate of almost 31% in next 13 years. I would like to see these results, but you are probably still too optimistic.

I like the choice of destinations, much more logical than zweibruecken and munich (which is easy accesible via other carriers)
Let's hope it really is cheaper...
