Imagine, from Bjæverskov to Køge took about 1 hour. A lot of people tried to make the trip faster from south, so they turned off the motorway at Lellinge. Total disaster!

Early this morning a 30 kg rock was thrown from a bridge down on the motorway, through the windshield of a car, one killed and one injured. the rock was thrown near skallebølle on Fynske Motorvej, the police will investigate the case as murder.

A little trip around the motorway in Køge.


They are about to assemble the noise barriers closest to Karlemoseparken and the eastern ramps on exit 32.












On the other side of the motorway they seem to have finished the extension of the bridge over Bellingestien.









The bridges over Lyngvej and the western ramps on exit 32.

Progress around exit 32 at Køge Bugt motorvejen.


First we are coming from the transport center and heading south on the exit ramps.

What´s worth noticing is that the railway embankment between the bridges is rising steadily and is not far from reaching the same hight as the bridges.

Now we have reserved and are getting back north towards exit 32, these pictures show the progress with the noise barriers on the south (before the big bend) and eastern side of the motorway.

Has anyone found the detailed plans for roads of the 2025 plans? Apparently they want to spend 27 billion DKK (€ 3.6 billion) in infrastructure, but no details are listed. Only E45 Aarhus - Skanderborg is mentioned in the TRM press release.

I'm guessing they have included projects like the new Storestrøm Bridge and the electrification programme and upgraded on the Sydbanen railway line (the one to Fehmarn) in this budget.

It is an additional 27 bn DKK over what is allready allocated (how much is allready allocated is not clear). In the 2025 plan 3 projects is actually mentioned in conjunction with the extra allocation: Central Jutland Motorway, completion of Kalundborg Motorway and Harbour Tunnel Copenhagen/Eastern Ring Road.

While the focus in the danish media has been on the opening on the Silkeborg motorway we had some minor but very important constructions being finished on the Køge Bugt motorway.


The southern ramp on 31A was done during the week and the southern ramp on 32 was done this night.


I have pictures from Solrød Syd but the ones at Køge must wait.


The last few pictures was taken directly towards the sun so they are not so sharp.

It has been decided that a Joint Venture of Rizzani de Eccher, Besix and Acciona Infraestructuras will build the 1,4 kilometer long bridge over Roskilde Fjord just south of Frederikssund.


The 10 kilometers long Express way hasn´t found a constructor yet.

The 10 km 2+2 expressway is part of the contract (a so-called "Totalcontract") with the joint venture of Rizzani de Eccher, Besix and Acciona Infraestructuras. The Danish contractor MJ Ericsson will be sub-contractor on the expressway part.

These expressways (motortrafikvejer) will be upgraded from 90 to 100 km/h (in green). They are mostly 2+1 roads.

But they will prior to 100 km/h being implemented, it has been announced. The PR 15 part has been widened to 2+1 the past few months and will have barrier erected over the next few months prior to 100 km/h and the PR28 part is allready 2+1 and will have barrier erected prior to 100 km/h. Both have no level crossings for the part to have 100 km/h speed limit.
