That's probably the one (there's no other construction planned on Broadway as far as I know) - we've talked about it many times - demo should start this month, followed by construction shortly.

They're not leveling the whole block - the apartment building on the corner and the small building that had the tacky Lamborghini car on top are staying - everything else including the parking in the back is not. So in other words, very similar to Brix (in design as well, which I'm happy for).

As for Blue Bistro - they are not moving from what I know, just opening another location a block down on John St., where Quiznos used to be ( http://www.capitolhillseattle.com/20...ay-izilla-cafe )

Bleu Bistro is kind of a question mark at this time. They are opening a new restaurant in the old Quiznos on E John St and will operate it concurrently with the current Bleu Bistro. They are doing this because the landlord isn't willing to open up lease negotiations on the current Bleu Bistro space right now. Keep in mind, this is the same building own who 'stated' that he was going to put in underground parking under his building, thusly, Sound Transit owed him more money as he could not do it now, due to tunneling.

Nice rendering. Many new apartment complexes are going up in Capitol Hill area lately... What about another parts of Seattle? I'd love to see new mid-rise apartment complexes to go up surrounding the Fremont Hub someday.

Great news on Braeburn part II -- that area centered around 15th and Madison area is going to need its own sub-neighborhood name soon.

Regarding other neighborhoods: based on where there's build-able space in desirable neighborhoods zoned to allow 5+1 buildings, I expect we'll see Lower Queen Anne and Ballard fill up some more, and probably West Seattle, too. I'd love to see urbanism blossom on Beacon Hill and along Jackson, too, but I think it's still a long shot.

Regarding Beacon Hill, what an opportunity around the Link station. Has ANYTHING sprung up in response to the added foot traffic at that intersection? Last I stopped in that area it looked rather desolate.

There a land use notice at the Fred Meyer in Greenwood (85th between 1st and 3rd). Not sure of details though.

That's probably the rebuild with higher density that's been a debate topic in Greenwood for a few years.

I'm not aware of anything. Some of the property is probably owned by Sound Transit, which is waiting for land values to rise before concentrating on TODs for its land along most of the route. Artspace next to Mt. Baker Station is an exception.

Nope, they canceled that and decided to do a remodel and won’t be building any new infrastructure.

Columbia City has quite a few projects on tap as well, a lot more potential for development. A little bit at Othello too. But yeah I haven't seen much of anything around Fremont.

Yeah, Othello is the one site that really seems to be making progress in the immediate area. Columbia City a close 2nd.

A couple projects of interest in today's Land Use Information Bulletin: first of all, something about the project at 420 Pontius in the Cascade neighborhood, bounded by Pontius, Yale, Republican, and Harrison. This 202-unit, 5000-sq-ft-retail project with have 378 parking spaces. WTF? http://web1.seattle.gov/dpd/luib/Not...=591&NID=11835
And elsewhere, a kinda cool little project down in the Montlake Business District, for a three-story building with 21 apartments over 4000 sq ft of retail right there on 24th. It's on a lot that's sat vacant for quite a long time. http://web1.seattle.gov/dpd/luib/Not...=591&NID=11835

That's Vulcan's "supply laundry block" redevelopment that I mentioned here. From what I remember they are building it in 2 phases so I assume the first phase will include the whole underground parking and some residential and then the second phase will only add more residential.

The SLU block would have 299 units including a related project. The parking might also include spaces for uses outside the block, which isn't unusual.

I just noticed a new land use sign just went up today in Fremont... It is near 36th and Woodland Park. It said it will be four stories 48 residential units.

Thanks for all the updates.

I'll add some to the list (all from last week):

13th & Madison

12th & E James ( SU Dorms )

12th Ave SU Parking lot, soon to be more dorms

Triangular lot bounded by 11th, E Union and Madison - to be mixed-used, possibly a soon start.

A research/lab retrofit on Terry Ave. in SLU (next door to Weber & Thompson).

Just a couple random shots from Amazon campus.

Terry Ave. - what a great little street it has become. Small architecture, ambiance, streetcar - this is how it should be done.

Lake Union Park and Armory building renovation.

The landmarked Supply Laundry building will be turned into apts/lofts by Vulcan. The rest of the block is getting the wrecking ball and then some density.

Across the street, some ads for the Yale Campus North. Forgot about this one - anyone knows if it's stalled or what ?

And one of my favorite infils in Seattle - The Art Stable.
