Now if we could just get the poor Dolphins off the mat. Man, oh man, it's tough to see such a proud old franchise playing this poorly. Maybe we'll be good again by my 10,000th post!

Ronnie Brown Rocks And the d-fence aint bad. The rest of them cant; catch, tackle, throw, block, or score. And by tackle I ment the
offence , they suck at it , GET RID OF TRENT GREEN.

The run defense has been completely non-existent. Everybody is trampling them on that side of the ball. The D hasn't been this bad since the late 80s (and at least back them we had Marino to keep things competitive).
I'll always love the team---and seeing them sink to this level is hard to watch---but at this point things are so bad that the losses barely even sting. I mean, when you KNOW they're terrible it's kinda hard to get angry about things they just aren't capable of doing anything about. In a weird way maybe they need this to happen. You only get better with the right players (NO coach could win with this bunch) and being awful at least guarantees draft picks high enough to hopefully put some talent back into this franchise. I feel bad for Cameron, too. He didn't create this mess, he inherited it. They drafted horribly under both Wannstedt and Saban and it's caught up with the franchise in a huge way. He's got as tough a job as there is in the NFL right now. Anyway, here's to better days....

I actually think the offense is getting better (which is not to say that they're anything good yet). Just that if you've been following the team the offensive-line is actually showing some ability for the first time in a long time and the running game is quite respectable. Trent Green doesn't matter much to me either way. The Fins are bad enough that they'd be 0-4 right now if Culpepper was still there...or if Beck was in there as a rookie...or whoever was taking the snaps if their name wasn't Manning or Brady. Blaming the QB or the coach for that matter misses the boat on just how lacking in talent the overall team is right now. Green is just a caretaker QB until Beck (hopefully) is ready to get in there and finally give Miami a legit talent at the position for the first time since Marino retired---but the kid is a rookie on a VERY bad team so I wouldn't look for him (or anybody else) to be able to do much about the state of affairs THIS year. The Dolphins are headed for something atrocious like a 2 or 3 win season. Let's just hope they draft right with the ammunition they'll have picking so high. It's the only way back. And just to note---the team that beat Miami today (Oakland) was EASILY as bad as today's Dolphins---maybe even worse---just last year. Not that they're suddenly a great team or anything---just saying it's not necessarily a hopeless situation where the Dolphins are doomed to stay this awful for an extended period. Things often change fast in the NFL. (ok---I've probably digressed from skyscrapers and housing markets long enough now )

I was at the game today and the worst thing happened! We sat next to a Raiders fan!!! The guy was born and raised in Miami but a die hard raiders fan?!?!?!
Although im not a huge Dolphins fan I do keep in tabs with how they're doing and I have to agree with spellbound about it not being much of a surprise with this team, my dad a hard core Dolphins fan wasnt the least bit hurt by this one hes become numb to it ![]() We left the stadium when the score became 28-17 (Alot of people did) and then heard they made another touchdown while we were in the car! ![]() Although I have to say the atmosphere at the stadium was AWESOME. Even while it was raining the crowd stayed on and it was really great. From my view the stadium looked PACKED, dont know if it was a sellout but it was a great crowd. |

C'mon, guys...there were a LOT of empty seats at the game. Given the current state of things, I don't necessarily blame people but there's no hiding all those empty orange seats.
