I should have had the entire Edificio Espana be a luxury hotel exclusively...

Wow!! Some amazing projects going on in Madrid. I don't much care for the conversion of Bernabeu into a giant silver bidet, but really like BBVA and many of the other buildings. I hope that Edificio Espana will only be transformed on the inside and the beautiful outside will stay the same.

Gardens of the eighteenth century for the Palace of the Infante Don Luis

Retrieve the splendor they had in the eighteenth century is the aim of the council with restoring the gardens of the Infante D. Luis Palacio . Led by the prestigious Italian landscape Lucia Serredi , also author of projects such as the gardens of the Palace of Aranjuez or the American House , the Palace of Boadilla will look exactly as they designed Ventura Rodríguez more than two centuries ago , in compliance to contracts signed with the architect D. Luis Infante own .

The restoration of the first terrace gardens that are , like the Palace itself and adjacent buildings, one very important late Baroque architectural achievement in our country will begin in the coming weeks , will last about seven months and have a budget 1 , 7 million euros .

There are several works to be undertaken . In addition to designing new plantings , a complicated system of drainage , using the original network of wells, which discharges into a general collector, and an irrigation system that will remain hidden and will feature low build technology optimization .

Original elements for restoration

As the project specified in the gardens is not going to make
a reconstruction but a restoration as these are conserved enough : strong architectural structure , multiple developers plant trace elements as well as photographs and a floor plan that reflects the original draft of the years 1760 to 1770 .

In this first phase the upper terrace at the entrance of the Palace was restored. According to the draft Serredi , consist of
parterre geometrically divided into two asymmetrical gardens , reflecting the clear Italian influence had Ventura Rodriguez.

The preservation of the original plant species will be another key project . So , be planted , for example, Dutch lime , cypress trees in Tuscany, lilac bushes , mulberry , pear, 3,000 ground cover plants , vines and 10,000 sophoras bogies that look in the 5,000 square feet will occupy the parterre , on an available surface garden of 18,000 square meters. This distribution will make it " unique " , according to the mayor, Antonio González Terol , for whom the Palace is the jewel of Boadilla and the project , as alderman , with more enthusiasm rushes .

The set also will wear other important elements as a central source that will take the place he had in his day la Fuente de las Conchas , currently located in the Campo del Moro, near the Royal Palace in
Madrid.

The roads will be compacted earthen and earth and discreet lighting from LEDs embedded in the ground that will be enhanced with other light sources from the gates, pergola and side gardens are incorporated.

The goal of restoration is to convert the palace gardens on a prime tourist element , not only for the citizens of the Community of Madrid, but also for visitors from the rest of Spain or elsewhere .

Torre Arias is the last big private country house in the city of Madrid. After the last countess died, the gardens will be a public park in spring of year 2015, and the palace will maybe host the Navarra University in Madrid.

The new Barceló market is close to be finished. I personally don't like it much... but it's much better than the old previous one.
