Thanks for the link, it was helpful to locate the Station again, didn't remember it was close to Szabadsag hid. What else to say? well, it's simply stunning, I just can't figure out whether they're going to paint the cement pillars or leave them unpainted. Really, that station is a pure jewel, can't wait to spend there some time. And I think it'll fit with the nearby Market as well.

About the ticket inspectors, well, I tried to shoot a photograph on top of an M3 line's escalator twice, and both they were coming up the other direction, and shouted something. I'm not really fluent in Hungarian nowadays, nor I was at the time, but I could understand a "nem" and, I suspect, something like "képek".

Does anyone know if there are any pictures showing what the stations will look like when they are finished?

Specifically I would like to know what Rakoczi Ter will look like when they are finished.

Thanks

more:http://www.freeweb.hu/metros/gal/m4.html

Renders about the surface would be quite useless IMHO,as there will be only stairs down,no fancy entrance buildings. Sweep through the original thread in the hungarian section, that might have what you are looking for, though it is a big mess of 155 pages.

Today morning the northern TBM has also reached the u/c Népszínház street station. One more to go! Tunnel boring of the first phase between Keleti end station and Kelenföld station will finally end in June!

Reporting from the u/c Keleti station...

What da' hell are those?

Those reinforced concrete girders, are temporary and will be torn down...

Keleti Railway Station in the background...

The temporary beams...

Temporary steel beams...

Going down...

In June, the TBMs will arrive from that direction...

The beam was cut in half, the steal section is temporary and it's the future place of the four escalators... While going up, they will cross the beam at that point.

Raw slurry wall (résfal) to the left, and final revetment wall (bélésfal) on the right...

The back of the station towards Keleti or Bosnyák square is almost finished..

The two elevator shafts are clearly visible...

The final reinforced concrete beams are under construction at the moment...

As you can see the front of the station where the TBMs are supposed to arrive are in a pretty early stage. Even the revetment wall is missing. The reason for that is, it will be built after the TMBs are disassembled and removed. The deadline for the structural works to be finished at this station is Q3-Q4 2011... So this station is to be completed last.

Going up...

Very good news! Long waited moment!

BTW: Probably you should write Keleti instead of Baross square. I know it's the same, but for the non-Hungarians it could be missleading.
