New Official height

The Point(Panama City), already is the highest tower of Latin America & Iberoamerica

The building The Point has reached 255 meters of height, overcoming in five to two towers of Madrid.

There is foreseen that the construction reaches in the middle of 2008 his maximum height, 275 meters.

I think that Panama City's skyline will continue to remain unfinished for the foreseeable future. Like it's population or that of any place on earth, for that matter, the city will continue it's (vertical) growth. You can't curtail human reproduction any more than you can freeze Panama City.

You haven't seen the bright side of the city, the places you saw were ugly beacuse they showed the Humble neighborhoods of the city.

What you saw there was the Old town called "Casco Viejo", it has different spanish colonial arquitecture, but because of the lack of maintenance it looks wasted, right now many efforts are being put together to restore this city and make it more tourist friendly, what you see here in the picture is a fraction of the other side of the city, the new, the cosmopolitan, the modern part, which has plenty of skyscrapers, international restaurants, banks, clubs, malls, yacht clubs, etc, there is much more being built right now (is not surprising that American TV series or Films rarely show this side).

As other forumer already said "too many cranes", but thats good because this city is developing very quickly, you should come here and see it for yourself.

This is what I am talking about. Who tha F---K is letting these " Film Companies" come to Panama and destroy our international image. It doesn't matters how many millions of Dollars Ruben Blades gets to advertise Panama to the world, once people see these episodes of Prison break, James Bond, Taylor of Panama, etc; we will be looked at like a 4th world corrupted city and country. No one should be allowed to film in Panama if they portray our country like this. I don't care who is it; Brad, James, Clooney, etc; Lets protect our image.

Is it my imagination or is this project stalling? It seems like a year ago it was right were it is today! What's the latest estimated date of completion?
