Thanks for the updates VIP. If you look close, the cladding looks a bit poor IMO. From a distance it looks quite nice

I don't wish to cause undue alarm but it's noticeable that the top of the building has not changed in over four months:

9 November 2008
28 January 2009
posted yesterday

Still the same half floor that was there in November, and possibly earlier. Work on the top floors appears to have ceased.

Nothing has changed in six months, neither concrete nor cladding. Construction has stopped: this is on hold.

^Probably yea, but no one from Panama confirms it. This sucks, such a great tower. Topped out already and on hold?

I haven't heard anything about this tower being on hold, if this is right, someone should confirm that information, besides I see some progress from the last pics, probably they are focussing now more on the interiors of the first floors for some reason, and they have left the top unfinished.

Typically a 65-70 floor residential tower that is topped off with exterior cladding about half completed is not going to stop construction at this late stage. That just doesn´t make sense.

Construction of The Point has slowed (that makes sense) but the idea is to complete it and get as much return on the investment by selling remaining units after it is finished.

Progress is painfully slow but work is consistent every day for this tower.

Wow! Panama has an impressive clutter of highrises... So who will actually buy all these residents with slow economy world-wide? What is Panama offering to lure buyers in to cover demand?

I know there's the canal, but what else is there?
