I LOVE S.A ..... a fav, destination for shopping and tourism for many mexicans and specially to people from Monterrey...btw. There is a sisterhood between the city of Monterrey and S.A. they are only 5 or 6 hrs apart via driving or a short 30 min. flight. people frolm MTY liked a lot the riverwalk than now we have our own new version..you can check it in the MTY pics thread , also If you look at the red sculpture, its a gift from MTY to SA. we have that same sculpture here, and it is called dynasty, too bad it is located in a suburbian neigborhood in top of a hill. and it is not as clearly appreciated, as the one in SA in the middle of downtown....

What is there to do in San Antonio besides the Riverwalk and the Alamo?
That Marriott (1st photo) is the ugliest building in Texas.

This is a nice thread, even though it's a little outdated. The new hotel being built between the Rivercenter Marriott and the Hemisfare Tower (33rd picture) is topped out and nearly the same height as the Marriott. Plus, I can see my college from a couple of the pictures!

SA's got a Six Flags Theme park as well as a Seaworld. It's got a great Zoo and decent shopping. And of course, during the season, you've got the Spurs.
