Nice thread. It was just a matter of time before architecture would begin to be significantly affected by the more liberal and creative tastes of the next generation. We saw it in auto design, tv commercials, music videos, graphic design, and now here.

The old stock will inevitably call this stuff crazy or silly, but that's just history repeating itself. Change is a shock to people's sense of how things should be in their minds. It takes decades before new ideas about anything start to be show up in. These people need to reach positions of power before their ideas are recognized and their peer group are the ones saying 'yes' or 'no'.

Like anything, some I'll like, some I won't, but I've also been waiting 20 years to see these types of developments. Bring it on.

Those towers look ill. Even the attractive one on the right needs crutches to stand up straight.

Yer I really don't get those towers in Milan. I've tried to like them but something about them just doesn't look right.

You've got what is essentially a thin box on the right (with crutches), a pretty nice twisty tower on the far left which makes the one on the right look even shoddier as if it's showing off, and in the middle there's a small, wierd, droopy thing....

You're wrong. Arata Isozaki designed the skyscraper on the right, and it doesn't need crutches.. It's only a characteristic of the Isozaki's style

No, Isozaki was wrong. That collection of buildings is unattractive, including (but not limited to) his.
