Today's -- I so resent our apparent lack of safety (wouldn't you know it, it was a seldom-passing, swift-moving intercity train that killed the occupants of the vehicle), plus, if I'm not mistaken, this morning's radio said that the overpass itself was slated for guard-rail installation this coming year, but that part got spliced out as the early morning wove onward:
Investigation of fatal Montreal train accident underway

Today's :
Was faulty guard rail a factor in fatal crash?
This morning's radio news broadcast next of kin pleading road upkeep from the City, although I think the faultiness more the case for the federal railway safety directorate, for surely flimsy overpasses must fall more into their mandate Besides, Canadian cities have become just too impotent.

The weather? Not overly cold, although blustery, poor visibility due to the heavy snowfall, altogether with slippery pavement and tracks.

As I recall, about 3 years ago, Harper government did a study on the study of high speed rail between Quebec and Windsor. What happened to the study? Any hope of seeing this to happen?

Ah! the triennial study, decade upon decade ... surely, Harper's edition must be far from the first by now:
