Hi all.

Hey Land. I never thought of the "punch out" list. You are right - the final check out before the official handover would be a giant task just like all the other aspects of this gigantic project. A few pages ago I figured the manhours would be around 75 million by extrapolating from the safety sign over numerous dates. 75 million ! - I'm not sure if there has ever been a project anywhere with that many manhours ?

Great shots of the cleaned windows Gerald and Desert. They do look much better. I too would like to see the BMU's in action - soon enough I guess as they will be cleaning somewhere on the structure continuously. The areas cleaned must have been done by the BMU from the second MEP area ? Or I wonder if they hung down some temp. platforms from the terraces above - it seems strange to only do the outer part of the wings.

Not quite the same thing, but estimates for the number of man-hours spent on the Apollo project in its first decade range up to 15.5 billion...

Photo by @Desert Diver, August 13:

According this photo, from those lights, seems that many apartments in low floors are almost complete or totally complete. So, there should be a real progress in interior works

What are the cranes still doing ?

Only a few cladding panels left to go from this angle in Imre's latest update - thanx by the way. I think the cladding looks good Ember. I imagine there is quite a few panels left to be installed where the crane was.

Surely the crane disassembly will continue soon ...

Recent pictures show the crane handling long materials - that would not fit into an elevator - does anyone know what these would be ?

It's not cladding, as most remaining work for this is above the cranes.

Earlier, they said the cranes would be gone in early August - now it's September and they are still working. Till they disappear, the BD still looks like a building under construction, not like one about to be finished and open for business. They would not be able to get on much with landscaping around the concourse / business entrance area.

In many areas, there's no building occupancy till the cranes are off the building due to risk of injury from falling objects or out-of-control crane-related events.

Who knows what the latest line is ?

Thank you.

Según esta foto, de las luces, parece que muchos apartamentos en los pisos bajos son casi completa o totalmente completa. Por lo tanto, debe haber un progreso real en obras de interior [/ QUOTE]
