Now Burj Dubai is growing up again after long time of not seeing any other new floor.

That's not quite right by the way, tiers 27-30 are pinnacles and are circular, they don't stick out like normal tiers.

This is what I keep saying as well... I more than believe that my 950sq ft apt. could EASILY fit into these upper levels (not including the core itself) with room to spare.. I think these upper floors (155 and up) are still between 1000-1200 sq ft. If they wanted to pull a big surprise on everyone, they could continue building offices into the spire quite easily... maybe that old elevator pic from 2 years ago (showing buttons in the 190's) wont be so far fetched after all...

^the passenger lifts only go to lev162.there will be no suprises.lol above 162 is accessed by stairs. not habitable.

if you told someone that Burj D is only up to tier16 out of 30, they would freak out. its ob deck is down at tier11.
maybe BurjDs tiers can be used as a measure tool?
What tier is you city;'s tallest at? in sydney, its tallest bldg is tier 6 or tallest structure at tier8. lol

Great stuff Cul and Ember!

Let's see... Marriott Renaissance Center tower is just under 730' (221m) so that pegs Detroit at between Tiers 5 and 6. Now if we had a "Tier 5-1/2" lol...

Well, and here comes the next "metropolis" ... Freiburg/Germany:
...a bit above tier 1 (BD's toe) by highrises
...not far from tier 3 (BD's calf) by churches
...but at tier 25 (BD's pointed hat) by funiculars (entirely located on the municipal area)
