Hi loving.

Not much geotechnical info but what info on the foundation are you looking for ?

Thanks for the updates Imre.
Lots of workers on landscaping. This is good to see as the podium once completed will really enhance this structure (ie: it won't still look like a big construction site).

H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) received in his office H.E. Justin Siberell, the new United States Consul General to Dubai, in a visit aiming at boosting the ongoing cooperative bilateral relations at the local, regional and international levels.

Can they get some up-to-date elevator info ?

While you may be correct that BS4 may go higher than tier 18 I have my doubts. Where BS4 is located in the plans it has to have its machine room no higher than section 18B because the setback that is tier 19's terrace is right above it.

This is a convincing argument that BS4 does not go higher than Tier 18. All the experts on here appear to believe that L160M3 is the top lift-served level.

Assuming this is a "Gen2" TM lift by OTIS, there is no machine room, unless that lift speed is 2.5m/s which needs a small machine room -- very unlikely in this case - probably more like 1 m/s.

So we may have a lift where all its served levels have the L160 name:
L160, L160M1, L160L2 and L160M3 probably unique.

Anyway, would it be possible to have the up-to-date elevator info put up (on Burjdubaiskyscraper) or wherever else, in a way clear enough that we can read it easily ? Or is the existing data page downloadable somewhere ? (Post 19394)

Thank you

I think he is refering to wanting a topographical map or to see a layout of all of the landscaping features

Do we have the route from Mall to OB-Deck ?

Does anyone know where the underground travelator runs from the mall to the BD, and how people will get to the Ground Floor for the lift ride to 124 using the upper deck of the OB-lifts ?

We have seen on the prints the escalators from P-1 to Concourse, but how do they get to the ground floor ? There are more escalators in the BD, but we have never seen any diagram showing where they are.

Thank you

Hi Library.

From the prints I have elevator BS4 serves levels 160, 160 mezz. 1, 160 mezz. 2, 160 mezz. 3, and section 18A. As you posted it remains to be seen whether it also serves section 18B (depending if it has a machine room). Tier 18 consists of Level 160 mezz. 3, section 18A, and section 18B. Level 160 mezz. 3 is the highest named level and above that I call them sections. It does serve 1 or 2 sections above 160m3 by the plans but as I posted no higher because of tier 19 setback. This depends of course whether they placed it as per the plans ...

Hi Coin.

The biggest area left to clad is approx. 20 panels where crane R1 was. The platform still has to be removed before they can get after it. Other than that there is approx 20 (?) panels left to go scattered here and there and some where glass needs to be installed in existing panels (boarded now). There is also a few terraces (10 - ?) where the permanent railings and their glass panels need to be placed.

Hi Gerald.

Great shot of the first time one of the big BMU's has made its way out onto the tubes. The thing looks ... robust to say the least.
