I want to echo this. Why are they saying all the panels are installed when they clearly aren't?

Emaar seems to be the leader in deception these days, heh.

I know how long it takes to go through the motions I described above and I might even be leaving a step or two out. I maintain my business website daily and I have hundreds of photos on it.

Imre has tens of thousands of photos and posts on at least two different forums. My question wasn't how to do the simple stuff, it was directed solely at him and how he has the time to bring us all these fantastic pictures and updates....remember, he is posting too and not just pics, but descriptive text as well.
uploading is a long process, I use the tinypic or imageshack but it takes always long time , while I waiting for the uploading I can check the previous posts otherwise I would be bored

In seeing all of the apparently random missing cladding panels in yesterday's photos I can't help but wonder if that is due to final acceptance inspections by Emaar with the cladding contractor (since Emaar is telling the world that it is all done). Maybe those were places where there was an installation mistake, a quality control problem, or just a bad panel, so they pulled them to fix or replace - then they can sign off on all the cladding work and their press releases won't be such works of fiction.

Imre, nice pics of completed BD with Ubora.

btw, howd you do your water mark? one by one? or embedded in your camera? or by a program? you must have spend considerable amount of boredom uploading 50,000 pixes.

thanks Whoami !

no, one by one takes ages

I have a program , it does everything, resize, watermark etc.. this is not a long process , the uploading takes time.

Many thanks to you

Imre,
It seems you pay much attention on the Tower. You must be proud of your country, too. Wish your country attract more visitors in the coming future. It says that your Prince will build another tower taller than this one, right? And I am also interested in your designing world island.

Alabbar confirms Dec 2 opening for Burj Dubai

Emaar chairman Mohammed Alabbar has confirmed for the first time that the Burj Dubai is due to open on December 2 this year – UAE National Day.

The opening date was first revealed by Arabian Business two months ago, but has never been officially confirmed by Emaar. However, speaking on CNN, Alabbar said he was “shooting for UAE National Day”, adding that “12,000 staff were working inside trying to get the building ready.”
/edit

Ahh... I see it was posted in the other BD thread.

So December 2nd it is. Looking forward to the party
