Hi Imre.

I was thinking the same thing. An antenna or flagpole as Drone posted is entirely possible and it would definately be included in the height to tip measurement.

The armani chairs may be a painting.
I do not believe that can be real for everyday use by real people.

I would measure the height of a building from first floor to last usable concrete floor. why split hair about how high a metal rod is sticking up?

BD complex is an amazing building complex no matter how you measure it.
BD will be remembered along with palm islands and sail shaped hotel for long time.

It is hard to tell scale but at the time we saw that video clip of the guy up there didn't we think that those bolted brackets were to loosen the mounts for the beacons so they could be spun around and re-lamped? If not could that be a part of a lightning rod? But that big casting that pipe is bolted onto would have to be insulated.

I still am not sure how the lightning protection works up there. Previous discussions and video clips on other websites talk about the whole building exterior being a giant faraday cage, etc. but in the few interior shots we have seen of the ladder and climb to the very top there was no evidence of a big grounding wire. So would that mean that the whole top of the spire..that entire pipe gets juiced when lightning hits then it is taken to ground through an insulated connection down below? But that just doesn't make sense...to much steel against steel. Maybe a separate topic but not one that I think has been discussed or answered.

Not much sand storms lately which gives the cleaners the possibility of a long-lasting effect on their completed job.

I agree, but the green stuff wasn't coming from sand storms but from growing algae.

Great pictures, gerald and 234sale! Did you rent a room at The Address?

I spent a lazy afternoon with my family at Safa Park

Some more pics from today are on VerticalDubai.com

You never see any dust in The Address pool -but the lake just next to it is full of it? Is it because of its dark blue colour? Not sure if thay had anticipated all these problems with the dust.

Too bad those pics are too big for a wallpaper. The Burj simply doesn't fit on my screen :'(

Compare the overall sizes and think of the time needed to clean and re-circulate the water on both basins.
