Hi fury
I believe these small structures that you mentioned might be used for recreational, mechanical and security facilities...they might be elevators going down and that needs a lot of space from my point of view...

I have a question, how do they lift furniture and raw accessories to lets say the 150th floor? (just a random number)
Is there a huge special elevator used or just the simple ones?
Thank you very much!'

Hi Ukrain.

Good thoughts on the small "buildings".

I don't have a full elevator list but there is service elevators. A trip to the top levels of office space (154 is the highest level occupied by tennants - the Emaar chairman reportedly) would involve more than one elevator.

The last recovery crane was disassembled by hand and the pieces taken down in elevators - service elevators no doubt.

EDIT:
Hi Imre.
I have heard a number very similar that measured from the raft to the top of the beacons - 834.

I re edited my last post.
834 was what I read.
The height as per the plans from the raft to the top of the beacons is 833.85 m. assuming the beacons are 0.6 m. high.

My guess on the official CTBUH measurement - 824.55 m.
Includes the Concourse level, the beacons on top, and a little settling ...

Hi Fury,

No, not really, just thinking more about what having an address at Burj Dubai will mean for some people. I know a lot of people are buying here simply because it is the Burj Dubai. They just want the prestige that goes along with owning a piece of the tallest skyscraper on earth. I do know a guy who is seriously thinking about buying here though.

That little island in the water (in the foreground) .
is this going to be a park or garden or something like that?
or, is it going to be built on, for example another Residence type hotel?

That's not an island, and that's where the Signature Towers are supposed to go.

Hi Fury,

In the large scale of things, is there anywhere we could have lost 44m from on top of the number you reckon on.

Great video 234Sale, just had to go out and drive it there.

It certainly makes issues with regards to Claren, 29 BD and BD Central standout when one is driving along the prestigeous BD Boulevard only metres from incomplete projects that are currently on hold.
