The BD surrounded by these incomplete buildings would look less attractive at opening.

Ehmm... so what do you recommend, build skyscrapers in a garage and then bring them to the site with a trailer when they are completed?

Before the cladding every skyscraper is a skeleton

It certainly makes issues with regards to Claren, 29 BD and BD Central standout when one is driving along the prestigeous BD Boulevard only metres from incomplete projects that are currently on hold.
They should restart those construction soon, hiding is not working any more

Hi OTR.

Ya lost me ... sometimes that is not too hard ...

Please rephrase ...

If you meant cm. there is a tiny possibility.
If you meant 44 meters - no way.

I did pic to plan comparisons right to the top. The varying heights of the levels and sections match the plans exactly. They could have added 0.2 m. to each and every level and section and the comparisons I did would have still worked out but the possibility is so remote that it can be disregarded.

I posted a few pages ago on the other remote height possibilities so I will not repost them.

IMHO this thing is built to the plans and as the plans measure it is 818.0 and the settling of the concrete levels or the compensation for that when they formed for the pours can be left to the CTBUH official measure.

If it was possible to go inside we certainly would Emaar just has a very restrictive information policy - basically everything is forbidden

Business Bay and Burj Dubai, seen from Ubora Towers. Many thanks to 234sale for this stunning view and for letting me visit the site! My mind is still up on the 22nd floor and I won't be able to focus on my boring work for the rest of the day

Click here or on above image for large format!

Also, many thanks to Imre for offering me to come along for the site visit

Fury, just saw a limo leaving the BD site with registration plate C 818.

Coincidence????????

For 44 metres divided by say 162 floors excluding the spire is only a variation of 0.27m per foor to get the 888m magical number tghat is the same as Mr Alabars gold locker room that is adjacent to my locker.

Coincidence????????

Am I being dillusional.

Imre. when I drove passed Claren it really got to me about what is happening in Dubai on the construction front.

As you say they cannot keep those key projects on hold for much longer.

A very bad advert for overseas investors also for the future.
