12000 workers inside ?

How are they going there ? by metro ? by taxi ? or just by walk?

Just drive around the Burj Dubai and you will see the reality and you can calculate . ( 1 bus =40-50 workers )

That would be bad news, but after all these years we can wait another month...

@ Imre: what do you mean? Aren't there many workers in and around the building?

"12,000 workers".

Assume two shifts of 12 hours, 6000 workers per shift.

50 workers per bus.

That means you should expect to see 120 buses arriving and leaving on site, twice a day. Shouldn't be too difficult to prove this isn't the case

/edit

Average length of a bus - around 40 ft. So that's 4800 feet of buses that we should be seeing turning up on site twice a day.

The number of 12.000 workers, occurs also a large nunber of buses in daily base in BD; have you seen that (those buses) there? I am asking the local forumers

Not surprised one little bit by this. I'm only surprised that they are saying "early 2010" This building is far from being finished ... probably another year to fully complete BD's interiors and surrounding area I'm thinking.....

Oh thank goodness, I don't have to find another hobby just yet.

Beautiful picture there Christos, I'm so pleased the beacon lights on the tiers are whitish blue and not red.
