I'm surprised so many windows and other cladding parts are still missing. Actually, I bet they were installed and have been taken out for some reason. (I'm too lazy to look through old photos to see.) Makes you wonder if they weren't installed correctly and are now being repaired.

Hi Swiddle.

It looks like all the cladding panels are in place but need to be glazed. It also looks like there are a few that are boarded. I agree when the panels were placed they were glazed. As you said there was most likely a problem with the glass to panel connection that needs to be redone. I find it hard to believe those materials wouldn't be onsite as it appears they are waiting for something to get the job done.

Hi moscow.

Thanks for that ... I am aware of all of the above ...

I disagree. They still have over 6 weeks untill the soft opening if they don't delay it yet again. Imre's great update from today shows the hotel podium (podium C) is well on the way to completion. There is still alot to do but I think all 3 podiums will be ready for the soft opening.
The interior levels above 50 - 70 are another storey.

I'll weigh in with Fury on this one.

I think that landscaping is coming along just fine and it is great to start to see those splashes of green. They are already getting all of the big palms, trees, and large bushes in which is some of the hardest stuff. The deal with good landscaping contractors is it all looks pretty dirty, scruffy, and messy for a long time then very quickly the completion ramps up - they slap down sod, get the smaller bushes and plants in, haul off their gear, turn on the sprinklers - and Bango! It suddenly looks great and like it's been there for a long time.

anyone noticed the flood-lit building lighting system being tested the last few days? the lights are placed at the top of each tier pointing up to the next tier...looks awesome when the whole building is lit up.

What are the resale price range for a two bed apartment in the Burj?

Dear all. Are there any resale opportunities for a two bed on the Burj? What are the approximate costs?

I just took a vertical panorama of BD, three pictures stitched. Therefore, the tower looks not as slim as it really is... But I love the colors. I did not do any photoshopping, just set the white balance before shooting (personal secret recipe )

The lighting improves by the day, it will be awesome when it is finished! Sorry, but I had to post this one in large size (only scaled it down a bit from 7623 pixels height to 5900px).

Another one
