btw about the observation deck , if i pay 400 dirhams , i get to go to the VIP deck or the normal one still just fast tracked or something ? i want to go again this weekend (last one i was not able to)
There are some good deals, I was looking to pick up another one on the 'cheap' - but not much around I'm getting quotes of 3500 AED per sqft +++

Armani Residence is selling below O.P but still way to expensive ( 1 bedroom - 5.7m AED ! :O ), it makes sense to buy a normal Burj Khalifa apartment and furnish it yourself with Armani Home in Dubai Mall.

Too bad we couldn't get a list of what is sold in each area.

No idea, the main problem is that the sales staff can see the system but its changing every day.

One day they said all 1 b/r sold out , another day they still have for sale..

Just an example , this project (JV between the Emaar and Tatweer) was 30+26+24 floors originally, I went to the launch, after they said everything sold out .

This is the reality now:

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...=692000&page=2

It seems they have reduced the floors so maybe sold out only those floors.

Similar can be happening at the Downtown , small buildings maybe and after they will rename again , like Downtown Bur Dubai

Mohammad's fine gesture

The decision to name the world's tallest building after the president was a testimony to the deep brotherly feelings between the two great leaders

The naming of the world's tallest building after President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan was a great gesture.

This act by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, during the spectacular opening ceremony on January 4 can only be described as blessed.

It stands as a grand testimony to the deep brotherly feelings between the two great leaders, made stronger by the ties of blood between them.

This reminds me of the poem I addressed to Shaikh Mohammad on the occasion of his third accession anniversary in January 2009.

In it, I said to Shaikh Mohammad: "You are to Zayed and his sons kindred in roots and legacy."

In fact, I do not want to talk here about Burj Khalifa as a marvellous engineering masterpiece, an iconic building or a great achievement that draws the attention of people from all over the world. This is because such talk is on everyone's lips wherever we go.

Depends on how reliant you are on Imelda stumping up some cash.

VIP deck??

400AED ticket just lets you go up there and then. The problem is you'll have to queue to get it in the first place.

wow ! That is a wonderful photo. can you put a wider larger version of this photo ? I mean , with more areas around this included in the picture.
Large photos like this give a better appreciation of the whole BK complex.

Judging from the shadows, I'd guess it was taken at around 6:07pm.

His camera can take picture in the past. Wait until you see lightning, then take the pictures/video, and the camera gets pictures/video of the lightning you just saw.

You took one with your 5D, which will be miles better than this hodgepotch.

Nah - I didn't get nearly as much coverage (for some reason, I can never be bothered to take photos when I'm viewing apartments!).

That panorama that you took has come out very nicely indeed.

That road doesn't serve much at the moment so not many people use it ... that if it is open to general traffic at all.

When shall the first of 144 Armani Residences deliver the keys?

When shall the first normal aparments deliver the keys?

When shall all 1044 apartments have been offered to the buyers?

Its open to general traffic since inauguration day.

Main point..........................it does not have any SALIK dodging potential unless they want to go around in circles all day.
