Hey thanks Skytower. I don't understand why anybody would want to dislike the BD. For once we have a building that will surpass others by almost two times. It's height will be far higher than anything even in the works now....over 1000 ft higher than SWFC. It may reach almost 1000 ft higher than the mighty CN Tower. It will be the first building to surpass a guyed wire mast since those took over the Empire State Building. Not even the CN Tower surpassed the KVLY mast in Blanchard, North Dakota which reached over 2000 ft in 1963 and BD is a building and not a mast...and they think it's no big deal. This is the most attractive building going up right now. In fact I have it as the world's premier building. I can't wait until they stick that pinnacle up there and finally tell us the tale of the tape.

Lotta fun, lotta fun.

Burj Dubai

I was wrong , still no glass on the mechanical floor , I saw the white wall at night it was like a glass but the podium cladding started

What about the 16th floor , it is really the Armani Residence ? It looks like a mechanical floor , maybe mechanical floor of Armani Residence?

podium cladding, entrance

roof section

mechanical floors and some pics of the 16th floor

Nice pics!

I've been following this tread for quite some time now, but I’m always wondering what is happening inside the building right now. The lower part of the building for example has already been cladded like a few months ago. So does that mean that subcontractors can already start doing some work on the interior like building walls and installing kitchens and stuff like that? Or does it stay with only installing the electric/plumbing/air systems.

Maybe a detail that is not as interesting as the current height of the building it self, but I can imagine that it will take an awful long time to fill the tower with just only all the basic stuff :P

Why is there such a significant difference in the podium cladding. Has that a special reason?

It might be more fun to have someone wash windows by hand on the 143rd floor. I wonder what that thing is as well.

As impressive as those close up pictures are Imre I fully expect you to buy us all a new camera in about another 50 metres so we can see what's going on up top
