Night shots are amazing. WHat time's sunset in Dubai normally? - trying to figure out the best time to go on the OB deck to check out the day and the night view on the same visit?

Why didn't Dubai get all the oil/gas reserves? At least it is willing to invest megastyle unlike Abu Dhabi.
im not really one for the subject but what ive been told is that the emirate of dubai has the least amount of reserves out of all the others and abu dhabi has the most (its also the largest)

Abu Dhabi has the most (95% of the oil and 92% of the natural gas), then Dubai (second place) and then the rest of the emirates (the rest are quite poor in caparison). What I am saying is why didn't Dubai get all the oil and gas reserves that Abu Dhabi has as it is unwilling to spend like Dubai does, which put it on the map.

I hope when less and less people will visit the observation deck they will change the reserved and VIP tickets and the high prices. Tokyo Tower and Eifel Tower are cheap compared with the 400Dirham the VIP ticket cost. I paid just 10Dirham to go up at the WTC. I hope they haven`t closed that observation deck.

Is there any sort of anti-aircraft defense for the Burj Khalifa? Al Qaeda may be pretty ineffective right now, but such a large structure has surely caught the attention of someone and I doubt that the sheikhs of Dubai would build a $20 billion dollar project without thinking about defense. If they didn't then they're idiots, frankly.

...even if there is some kind of defense, I suspect we would never know about it. But still, just thought I'd ask.

Didn't you know? It is top secret information but the Burj Dubai itself is a top sercret rocket that looks like a building and can be launched at any point by the press of a button hitting anything in its path.

Al Qaeda is not a problem in this country because UAE doesn't attack other muslim countries and it is where business is done (neutral). If they do something they would shoot themselves in the feet financially. Let's hope nothing ever happens. Besides which, the Bin Laden group was partially involved in the project so it doesnt make sense.
